Abstract The anatomical characteristics, phytochemical, and histochemical investigation of F. abyssinica have not been studied so far. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the anatomy of F. abyssinica aerial parts.in addition, we have identified the secondary metabolites in different tissues of F. abyssinica to open a new area for new potential therapeutic agents. Moreover, the histochemical investigation was conducted to locate the phytoconstituents. Finally, we present a correlation between the chemical analysis of tissues and their structural organization, besides providing a detailed description of the stem and leaves of F. abyssinica. The present study includes three parts; 1. Phytochemical, anatomical, and histochemical investigation of Felicia abyssinica L. aerial parts: A chemical analysis of tissues in relation to their structural organization 2. Phytochemical, GC-MS, and LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis of Felicia abyssinica L. aerial parts 3. Biological investigation of different extracts of Felicia abyssinica L. aerial parts. |
