Abstract

The knee is a complicated joint with roving contact points, pressures that are influenced when a ligament is ruptured. The ACL is one of the ligaments, which has a strong impact on the result of kinematics. Often, other injury of ligament or meniscus join ACL rupture and further damage resulting kinematics and clinical outcomes. Anatomic relations and current guide to restore ACL function and looking at the impact of injuries on the result of kinematics to restore all function and can help in achieving an optimal outcome.
This study examined the gait characteristics of the patients with ACL injury for the same causes of injury and same period after reconstruction. The results observed the role of gait analysis.
Study problem:
• Has the rehabilitation program an impact on variables of gait or not?
• Are there significant values between pre-test and post-test?
Aim of This Study: The aim of the current study is studying the effect of rehabilitation program on the parameters of gait to improve the parameters of gait analysis for ACL injuries from:
- Gait analysis
- Measure the muscles around the knee joint by EMG
- Effect the rehabilitation program for improving the gait analysis
Hypothesis:
- There are statistical significant values between the pre-test and the post-test, for post-test.
- There are statistical significant values between the pre-test and the control test.
Materials and Methods:
• The researcher using the empirical research by using the pre-test, the post-test and control-test by using two groups (empirical and control).
• 20 adult male have participated in this study (age: 30 ± 10 years, height: 180.00 ± 5.00 cm, weight: 85.00 ± 5.00), The participants are selected from a private rehabilitation center (Al-Fath sports center), diagnosed clinically by an orthopedic surgeon.
Tools:
Anthropometry Tools:
- Medical weight scale
Muscles Activation Tools:
- EMG Mayon 20
- Skin tact Electrode
Analysis Tools:
- Application form
- 4 GoPro 8 cameras, frequency 60 frames/sec
- 4 Camera holder
- A square calibration scale 1 . 1 meter
- 3D motion analysis software A- pas v14.3.0.1
- Visual 3D v6
- 23 Reflective Markers
- EMG Mayon 20
- Skin tact Electrode
. The subjects are asked to the pre-test to examine activity of muscles by EMG and measure the parameters of the gait analysis (speed, stride length, stride width and cycle time). Then, the subjects are investigated to the rehabilitation program for three months, finally; the subjects are asked to the post-test to make a comparison between the tests.
