This study aimed to : to identify the rural women behavior correct belong the food customs in some villages in kafer EL – sheikhGovernorate.
Methods&results : Study data were collected by Personal interview questionnaires, through a random sample amounted 339 respondents women : 139 respondents women from Alchklobh, 100 respondents women from Kom elDahab, and 100 respondents women from Issawiya. Collected data were coded and analyzes using frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation, simple and multiple correlation coefficient, partial regression coefficient and standard partial regression coefficient, Also, “t”-test and “f” test were used to know the significant relationships, as well as the use of analysis of variance (ANOVA), was the statistical analysis using SPSS v.16. The most important results reached by the current study were as follows :
1-Results shown that 93.5% of women’s respondents were come in low or medium of behavior about the correct dietary habits, about 68% of women’s respondents were come in low or medium of knowledge about the correct dietary habits, approximately 92 % of women’s respondents were come in low or medium of applying the correct dietary habits, 67.5 % of women’s respondents were come in neut attitude towards behavior about the correct dietary habits.
2- The results showed that the average behavior toward the dietary habits of respondent village of Kom Dahab is greater than the average respondent village Alchklobh, and Issawiyya teams significant proven Manueth at the level of probability 0.05, results also showed that the average behavior toward the dietary habits of Mbhuthy village Alchklobh greater than the average respondent village Issawiyya teams Manueth proved significant at the level of probability 0.05, and thus the respondent village of Kom Dahab is the best in terms of the application of the correct dietary habits.
