Abstract The effect of irrigation regimes , plant population densities ,genotypes and their interactions on growth , yield, yield components and seed chemical composition of soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) were studied at the experimental farm of faculty of Agriculture , Minia University during 1995 and 1996 seasons. A split-split plot design with four replications was used in both seasons . the main plots were randomly assigned to the three irrigation regimes represent frequent of irrigation by intervals of 12, 18 and 24 days , the sub plots were allocated to the three plant population densities of 15 , 20 and 25 plants per linear meter represent 105000, 140000 and 175000 plants per faddan , respectively and the sub-sub plots involved three genotypes of line 68, Mead and Clark. |
