Abstract The incentive of tnis study is to detect the role of the spleen in chronic consumptive coagulopathy which was found to occur with the schistosomal hepatic fibrosis (SHE1). For this purpose, the direct i mmuno f luo re scent antibody technique was used for detection of fibrin deposition in the removed spleens of patients with SHF. This study was carried out on twenty specimensof removed spleen from patients with SHF, and six specimens from spleens removed for traumatic rupture as controls. In addition, the following investigations were performed on the twenty patients with SHE1 and on ten normal healthy. |
