Abstract illular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common ^nant tumour affecting the liver. Its occurrence is i to cirrhosis, chronic infection with hepatitis B. This study was conducted in the aim. to evaluate ; x hormones (testosterone ”T” and estradiol ”E”) lale patients with chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and effort to explain the high incidence of HCC in ^males and to show whether these changes are a HCC or not. dy was conducted at Liver Institute, Menoufiya cated in Shebin El-Kom. The study comprised 4 se are chronic hepatitis C group (20 patients), up (20 patients), HCC group (30 patients) and itrol group (20 persons). All are males and ie same investigations. dy revealed that there is a significant hormonal both cirrhotic and HCC groups in the form of stosterone and increased estradiol. findings may give an idea why HCC is more nong males and that these changes may be ’ the occurrence of HCC. |
