Abstract

The baby in the first 28 days of life is called neonate. Neonates have anatomic, physiological and pharmacologic differences than adults. Information about the basic physiologic development as well as understanding of the effects of age on anesthetic requirements must be known to the anesthesiologist. Neonate experience pain by tachycardia and elevation of blood pressure. So, any painful procedure must be performed under analgesia or anesthesia. Any surgical intervention in the neonatal period are usually due to diseases that need urgent intervention. These diseases are usually congenital and usually affect the respiratory system, gastrointestinal system or central nervous system..
In this research, only the respiratory surgical emergencies have been discussed. Respiratory surgical emergencies in the newborn are a group of congenital disorders that interfere with the normal respiratory process and unless urgently corrected, the newborn dies. There are several congenital jma-li interfering with normal respirations the commonest of which are the following
