Abstract The aim to this study : - to investigates the common respiratory health hazards among the cane sugar industry. – Advise on the preventive measurements for the expose workers . The study indicates that direct , unprotected and prolonged exposure to the hazards (sulfur dioxide in the sulfur furnace, lime dust in the lime furnace, smoke in the boiler house, and workers handling fly ash and welding fumes in the welders ) were associated with : 1- Higher prevalence of acute as well as chronic respiratory symptoms. 2- Lung function impairment. 3-Abnormal x-ray findings |
