Abstract Unexplained infertility has been defined as the inability to conceive after one years in the absence of any abnormality. The incidence of unexplained infertility is 10-15%. This study was designed to evaluate the endometrial NK-cell density by immunohistochemical stain for CD57 in patients of unexplained infertility. The study was conducted at Ain shams University Maternity Hospital. Fifty women attending the infertility clinic and family planning clinic of Ain Shams University Hospital were included in the study. Data from the patients were collected into an investigation sheet thorough history and physical examination in addition to previous investigation done were documented. The study and control group were matched for age. Women with a definite cause of their infertility were not included in this study. The women were divided into two groups as follows the study group consisted of thirty (30) women who were diagnosed as unexplained infertility. |
