Abstract
Leaf spot and leaf blight diseases of strawberry are investigated in this thesis. Isollation tests from leaf spot or leaf blight yields the following fungi: ramularia tulasnei and dendorophoma obscurans these two fungi are more pathogenic to strawberry leaves than the other isolated fungi. Incubation period for leaf spot is longer than that for leaf blight. A comparison is made between the two fungi with respect to different aspects e.g the effect of the two fungi on the leaves, the best temperature for growing, the suitable media for growth, the favourable relative humidity for both fungi and the optimum pH value that can give suitable conditions for growth of both fungi.
