Abstract This work aims to study the effect of some physiological and biological factors governing the outbreak of the disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani in strawberry plants. The results obtained show that Rhizoctonia solani gives its best linear and amount of growth when Potassium nitrate is used as nitrogen source, while Ammonium sulphate obtains no growth. Rhizoctonia solani is affected on medium with the growth of other isolated fungi from infected strawberry roots. Rhizoctonia solani has the ability to decompose pectin, cellulose, gelation and starch. |
