Abstract
This study aimed to determine thyroid hormone abnormalities in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and aggressive behavior and to correlate these abnormalities with the degree of hyperactivity or inattention.
This study was conducted on 30 cases with behavioral disorders (ADHD and/or aggressive behavior) diagnosed by DSM-IV classification (DSM IV, 1994).
They were 20 males and 10 females with a male: female ratio of 2:1. Their ages ranged between 5 to 13 years with a mean age of 8.67 ± 2.5 years.
