Abstract The screening for Exercise Induced BHR in normal Egyptian school children revealed that 19% of this randomly selected sample had EIB (bronchial response to exercise of at least 12% reduction in FEV1) and 11% had response of at least 15% reduction in FEV1. From the present study, also it was found that the prevalence of EIB (∆FEV1≥12%) in patients with asthma equals 52.9 % (Versus 19% in normal population group), concluding that not all asthmatics are prone to have EIB. |
