Abstract
Proper marine sediments belonging to the Oligocene are widely distributed in the subsurface of the central part of the northern western desert and along the Mediterranean Sea coast plain. They are recorded in Gazalat well No 1, betty well No 1 um Barka well No 2. and another wells.
