Abstract The objective of ths study is tom manufacture a combined machme for inter-row cultivation, fertilization and spraying field crops, from local materials to suit the demands of the farmer. The constructed machne was designed. to fulfill the following requirements: Simple construction to pennit easy adjustments. operation maintenance and to match the limited techcal slulls of operators at the field. Suitable, as possible, for dfierent row crops (maize, cotton and bean) with minimum adjustments. Size and capacity suitable for all available tractors (from 23.78 kW to 56.25 kW). The results obtained from ths study can be summarized as follows: A. Inter-row cultivation unit: 1. Effect of share angles on the weeding efficiency: The results indicated that when using L-Me (Sl) on mechanical planting, the maximum percentages of weeding efficiency were 87.2%, 88% and 89.7 for cutting angle 120, apex angle 900 and cultivation depths (4-9, (7-8) and (1 0- 1 1 cm.) during the first cultivation. During the second cultivation, the maximum value of weeding efficiency was 95.5% at cutting angle 120, apex angle 900 and cultivation depth 10-1 1 cm. Also, by using manual planting, the maximum weeding efficiencies were 80.3%, 85.7% and 85.8% at cutting angle 120, apex angle 960 and at cultivation depths of (4-5), (7-8) and (10-1 1 cm) respectively. |
