Abstract The present investigation has been carried out at the Poultry Research Unit Farm (PRUF) belonging to Department of Poultry Production, Faculty of Agriculture, Kafr El-Sheikh, Tanta University, Egypt. This work aimed to study irmnurne response to Newcastle disease in chcken. The main character was antibody titer level in blood serum. The study included three experiments as follows: First experiment mainly designed to study the genetic daerences between different strains in antibody titer levels in blood serum. Three clicken strains were used: (Arbor Acers, Silver montazah and Synthetic strain ”50% Anak + 25% Lohmann + 25% Gimmiza”). Whde the Second experiment was planned to investigate and study the genetic variation between families withn strain for the same trait. Finally, the third experiment aimed, through three generations, to estimate the response of selection for antibodies titer level in the positive and negative direction with control line. |
