Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate male patients with postmicurition dribble in order to study several a etiological factors. In this study a review of the literature was made as regards the functional anatomy of lower urinary tract, neuroantomy and neurophysiology of micturition, functional aspects of the lower urinary tract and an overview on postmicturition dribble. The study was performed in 30 patients who were selected from patients attending menoufiya university Hospital. These patients underwent full urological sheet, complete clinical examination, full urodynamic evaluation and cystoscopy. The age of patients rages from 13-77 years with a mean age 25 years. These patients were classified into 2groups according to associated urinary tract symptoms. Group I P.M.D alone- group II P.M.D. with other symptoms. Obstructive symptoms were commoner presentation than irrigative symptoms in groupie. The duration of PMD was generally longer in groupie than in group I. Bilharzias is were found in 40% and 64% of groups I and II respectively. History of previous lower urinary tract operations was higher (40%) among patients of group II than in group I (13.1%). |
