Abstract

In our study we outline the most important forms of the solar activity affecting the interplanetary and near-Earth environment and we focused on their influence on spacecraft systems.
Coronal Mass Ejection (CMEs), originating near the disk center, cause the severest geomagnetic storms in the vicinity of Earth which affect the Earth in a different way. Thus, estimation of the arrival of CMEs is very important in space weather investigation. We build up an empirical model to predict the 1AU arrival time of CMEs, The new model reduces the average prediction error from” " ~ " ” 10.7 10” " ~ " ”7.8 hours.
Finally we made the analysis for a satellite rotating in low Earth orbit by applying the simulation models which are used to calculate many of the main space environment parameters.
