Abstract the physical and electrical properties of mixed ferrites for different composition C0,-~Cd$’e~0w~h ere (X = 0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9). The ceramic method is used for preparing the samples. They are pressed into disc form under constant pressure of about 10 ton/cm 2 and finally sintered at 1200 OC for 6 hours. The materials prepared are identified by X-ray diffraction method, the lattice parameter is calculated. All compositions are found to have cubic spinel structure. Some physical properties such as density, porosity, electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power, and thermal conductivity are studied. Thermoelectric power has been studied under vacuum in a wide range of temperature from room temperature up to 600 K. The dielectric properties and a. c resistivity have been measured as a function of composition at constant frequency (1 KHz) from room temperature up to 200 OC. Mechanical properties such as Young’s modulus and phonon velocity are studied for the prepared samples from room temperature up to 110 OC for different stresses. Finally thematerials prepared are identified by infrared rays which indicate the presence of two absorption bands vl and v2 which represent the tetrahedral and octahedral sites respectively which characterize the spinel ferrite. |
