Abstract I- This study was conducted t o detect how far norghological and chemical eharaclers 8s yield componen-ka, influence the plant seed yield and plant straw yieJd, to be a guide for the plant breeder in plant scLection. 2- Pour introduced soybean varietie~ nanleby Altona, Williams, Porrcst and Bossser were used. 3- The experiments were run at the Sakhn Agricultural Research Station for two successive years 1376, 1977. 4- Simple correlation coefficients were czlculated between t o t a l y i e l d and its components an6 also bctwcen seed yield par plant and each of hts spscific components and between straw yield per plant and its components, 5- Dry total yield was positively and highly significantly associated with dry se2d yield and dry straw yield. Dry seed yield was also positively and. highly significantly associated with dry straw yield in the four varieties. |
