Abstract Oral cancer is the most serious threat to life among all oral diseases, thus, understanding all the details of tumour process for the early accurate diagnosis is of great importance for successful management and possible cure. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to provide more infonrtations about the immunolocalization of keratin proteins in different oral epithelial neoplasms including salivary gland tumours as well as to evaluate the role of the antikeratin antibody used as a definite tool in the diagnostic pathology. Biopsy specimens of 93 neoplasms including 73 cases of oral epithelial neoplasms, 14 specimens of metastatic tumours in the regional lymph nodes and 6 cases of oral malignant lesions that had different diagnostic considerations were collected. |
