Abstract
Two filed experiments were condected in an extention fild at El-mesah villag, Dirab- Negm, Sharki Governorate, Egypt, during 1987/1988 and 1988/1989 growing seasons.
The aim of this invistigation was to study the effect of seeding rates (25,37.5 and 50 kg grians/fad).
Increasing The Production Per Unit area can be obtained by introducing high yielding cultivars and improving cultural practices.it has been found that plant population and nitrogen fertilizer are the most limiting factors for obtaining high barley yield.to realize such aim, this study was carried out to verify the most suitable seeding rate and distribution of plants by means of row spacing in addition of studying the response of barley to nitrogen fertilizer.
