المستخلص This dissertation deals with a study of the economic effects of seasonal phenomenon on the Egyptian agricultural production sharkia governorate is one of the main governorates in Egypt which has the same characteristics of the Egyptian agriculture hence it was chosen as a field to be studied this dissertation includes five chapters. The first chapter deals with the study of human and non-human agriculture resources in sharkia governorate. The second chapter comprise a study of the cropping pattern in the governorate and its districts during the period 1973-1977. Chapter three includes the application of linear programming techniques to obtain optimum patterns of resource allocation under institutional, physical, and economic constraints. Chapter four implies a study of the economic effects of seasonal phenomenon on the present cropping pattern and the suggested ones. The fifth chapter deals also with the study of the economic effects of a seasonal phenomenon on the livestock production in the governorate. One the most important problems involved in the economic planning of agriculture is the determination of the optimum cropping pattern. The optimum cropping pattern is defended in this study, as the combination of crops which maximizes net agricultural returns from the utilization of available agricultural resources. |
