Abstract
Vlasov equation which describes the behavior of plasma was solved by applying Lie group and similarity method. Both collisionless Vlasov equation and Vlasov equation with collision term are studied. The collisionless Vlasov equation was studied for different fields :1)For a self-consistent and time-independent harmonic field. 2)For Stock’s force which depends on the velocity and independent of space and time. 3)Force exerted by electric field.
