Abstract The present investigation deals with some biological aspects of the clam Donax Vittatus (Bivalvia : Mollusca )inhabiting the Mediterranean Sea water at the western area of Gamasa city, Dakahlia Province, Egypt. Nearly 130 specimens of this animal were collested monthly (during the period from March 1997 to December 1998 )from adepth between0.5 and meter and the specimens were kept alive in glass aquaria provided with a continuous flow of pumped air. |
