Abstract In a study to the problem of mycoplasma infection in Turkey and duck flocks in Upper Egypt (Assiut, El-Wadi El-Gadid) governorates the following was done. Determination of the incidence of mycoplasma in turkey by trials for isolation of mycoplasma from eggs and dead in shell embryos as well as from different organs of living and dead turkeys according to their ages. A total of 281 isolates were recovered from examined organs. According to digitonin sensitivity test, the recovered isolates were classified into 275 mycoplasma isolates and 6 acheleplasma isolates. Biochemical reactions of the recovered isolate resulted in their classification into three biogroups: Groups 1:glucase+ve & Arginin -ve Group II:Glucose-ve & Arginin +ve Group III:Glucose +ve& Arginin+ve. |
