المستخلص It deals with the general framework of the study through determining its problems, questions, aims, significance, methodology, instruments, procedures, and the previous studies. Chapter Two: It involves economic, political, cultural, and social reform in Egypt and the role of private universities for these societal reforms. Chapter Three: It deals with the linguistic origin and the scientific meaning of ’Specialty’ word and its operational definition. Then, it involves the aims of specialty in general, its aims in Egypt in particular, the operational definition of private universities, the idea of developing a private university in Egypt, the significance and aims of private higher education, establishing private universities and its management, finance of private universities and its admission systems, and the techniques of higher education specialty. Chapter Four: It includes the actuality of private higher education in United States, Japan, and England, concerning its aims, its admission systems, its management, and its finance. Also, this chapter involves the actuality of private universities and its development in Egypt in the light of the international experiences and attitudes. Chapter Five: It involves the field framework in which the research instrument ”questionnaire”, prepared by the researcher, was built for recognizing the opinions of teaching staff, public and executive leaders, general and private higher education students, and their parents, concerning the features of societal reform in Egypt, the role of private universities in the societal reform in Egypt, the reflection of societal reform on the private higher education. This instrument was presented to a group of experts, and then it was modified for applying it. It involved 102 items divided into three sections: Chapter Six: It deals with the suggested framework of the relationship between the societal reform and higher education specialty in Egypt. This framework was formulated in the light of the theoretical framework of the research, the field study, and the results.
