Abstract The Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) is the conscientious, explicit, and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. The Five Step EBM Model consists of: 1)Formulating the research question which defines the population being examined, the problem and the interventions. 2) Searching for answers of this question 3) Appraising the evidence 4) Applying the results 5) Assessement the outcome Definition of complementary medicine adopted by Cochrane Collaboration ”Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is a broad domain of healing resources that encompasses all health systems, modalities, and practices and their accompanying theories and beliefs, other than those intrinsic to the politically dominant health system of a particular society or culture in a given historical period. Aim of the work To study different modalities of complementary alternative medicine on evidence based rules to verify its efficacy and safety and the possibility of its integration into conventional medicine to create an integrated medicine. |
