Abstract

Estimation of trace elements in food of animal orgain such as fish and meat is of importance for the public health point of view, and elevation of these trace elements in food reflect a hazard to consumers. The present study was performed to determine some trace elements such as strontium, cadmium, lead, copper, manganese and nickel in imported frozen mackerel fish, imported canned fish and imported frozen meat. A total of 135 samples were collected from different localities at Assiut city, the collected samples were composed of 60 imported frozen mackerel fish, 45 imported canned fish and 30 imported frozen meat samples.
