Abstract
The ultrastructure of normal urinary bladder urothelim has been investigated in feamle white rats (Rattus rattus).Three layers of cells were observed, namely; the superficial, the intermediate and the basal cells. The superficial cells were the largest ones of the urothelium. The organelle content of the superficial cells was higher than the intermediate cells and that of the intermediate cells was higher than the basal cells.
