Abstract This study was carried out on ten completely edentulous patients. For every patient, two upper and one lower complete dentures were constructed. The upper dentures were divided into two groups namely group “A” and group “B”. Dentures of first group, group “A”, were constructed from visible light—cured material while with the second group, group “B” dentures were constructed using heat—cured material. For both upper dentures, the lower denture was constructed from heat—cured acrylic resin. The present study was performed to investigate and compare flange adaptation, palatal base distortion space, and occiusal discrepancies of both heat—cured and visible light—cured denture bases. Flange adaptation was measured using a micrometer through a reference notches which prepared in the internal aspect of the buccal pouch regions of the border of the ienture flanges. The posterior distal point angle of each .otch was used as a fixed points of all measurements. The -easurements were done while the denture was still on its :-ocessing cast, after decasting, three hours, one day, |
