Abstract
The purpose of this investigatiom is to study to the possibilities of using the lime for stabilizing heavy clay present abundantly in mansourah region to be used ecconomically in road construction so as to serve in Mansoura transportation network. A compartive study on the effects of two types of additives, namely limestone dust and hydrated lime on physical and mechanical properties of local clayey soil was made.
