Abstract Comparative study between metallic titanium and ceramic zirconium posts and different composite core materials (titaniumreinforced composite core material, packable composite core material and ceramicfilled composite core material) using mechanical tests (compression, tension and torsion) and finite element analysis. The ceramic zirconium posts possessed mechanical results near to that of the metallic titanium ones, so they could be used successfully in anterior teeth where esthetic is a primary demand. Also, the titaniumreinforced composite core material gave the best results in all tests. |
