Abstract Assessment of knowledge and attitude towards biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons for 1600 persons of both sex living in Mansoura city or its districts and belonging to different education, occupation, and social classes. The age of participants range from 18 up to 60 years. The occupations of the respondents were classified into three groups: group of health care providers, group of nonmedical persons and group of mail workers. Each eligible person was subjected to a self administrated questionnaire. The present study concluded that: Poor knowledge level of the studied population towards biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons. Also it was cleared that TV and Radio was the commonest source of knowledge for 85.8% of the sample while internet was the least common source for only 10%. Furthermore mail workers had poor knowledge about biological issues specially anthrax. |
