Abstract The present work was undertaken to study myelina¬tion of tracts in brains of chick embyos from 13 to 21 days of incubation and in chicks till the 20th day after hatching. 2 - Specimins were fixed • dehydrated, cleared and mbeded in paraffin sections were cut at 10 and stained with loyez’s Hx. for demonestration of myelin sheaths • 3 Myelination of nerve fibres in the brain was preceeded by the aggregaaion of neuroglial cells • 4 - stainable myelin was first recognized in the brains of chick embryos at the age of embryonic day and was confind to the lower part of the mandbrulla • 5 - Myelination of the chick embryos brain extended caudo-cranially and from the central to peripherally situated fibres . |
