Abstract Bloody diarrhea is the principle type of diarrhea in which antibiotic is ndicated. Identification of organisms and their sensitivity to different antibiotics is lifferent from one locality to another. 1bis study conducted to spot lights on microorganisms causing bloody diarrhea among infants attending Mansour” University Hospital and to identify their sensitivity to different anti microbial agents. In this study, 33 Infant. with bloody diarrhea. 19 male and 14 fernale with age below 2 years, were taken from pediatric reception, outpatient clinic and inpatient department of Mansoura University Hospitals. A full and thorough history was taken from al patients with special emphasis on the duration of diarrhea, type of feeding, nutritional status and trea1Jnent received before. The subjects were also, subjected to thorough clinical examination especially stale of nutrition and signs and severity of dehydration. Swabs were taken from the patients and inoculated into the special media. All were incubated aerobically at 370C for 24 hours. The colonies were identified as followS: A.
