Abstract Obesity has a mUltisystem affection and the aim of this work is to study the pattern of pUlmonary dys¬function in obese patients and any aleration in the blood gases and also to correlate such changes with the degree of obesity. In this work 30 obese patients and 10 normal subjects were stUdied. They were classified as follows t QE~gE_~_’:’ Consisted of 30 obese subjects subdivided into 3 sUbgroup (mild, moderate and severe obesity groups) according to Dillon,(1973). gE~~E_;);!_:” Consisted of 10 healthy sUbjects selected as a control group.
