Abstract
Sinunasal mycosis is the pathological process after invasion of the body by pathogenic mycoses. Too many fungi are incriminated to induce mycosis. They are either opportunistic or from the atmosphere. The fungus infection in sinunasal tract is quiet common as this is the first part of the respiratory tract. It produces different clinical pictures that vary from that of common cold to that of malignant disease. It mimics other non fungal disease in the nose & paranasal sinuses. It is very unfortunate that this diagnosis is grossly underscored and not minded by most of rhinologist In this study, a short presentation of the surgical anatomy and basic physiology of the nose and paranasal sinuses was presented. Review of the basic mycology and the most common fungal diseases of sinunasal tract are presented.
