Abstract The increasing costs of conventional fuels, the political uncertainties related to the supply of petroleum and the problems associated with energy generation from nuclear energy sources have motivated the search of new energies . In Egypt. Solar energy can be considered a suitable alternative energy sources . It is available , clean and cheep energy . This work was carried out to investigate an aqua-ammonia solar absorption refrigeration system for domestic use . Both theoretical and experimental thermal analysis of solar refrigeration system design are the main objectives of this work . A survey of the pervious work in the felid of solar refrigeration are presented in chapter (2) . Solar refrigerator elements basically are the solar collection unit, cooling machine and storage equipment. The refrigeration system investigation here is a conventional aqua-ammonia adsorption refrigeration system and consists of condenser evaporator .absorber and generator . The generator was modified to be solar heated . A fluid which is heated by means by hyperbolic spiral solar concentrator was used for this purpose . The convection losers was suppression by the use of glass tube. |
