Abstract
This Thesis is effictively devided into three major parts : Chapter 1 contains the background material necessary for under standing metal fabrication, metal prpperty, phase taransformations, intermetallic compounds. Chapter 2 deals with the expermental procedures. the experimental work has involved the preparation of a series of binary Pb- -Sn and Pb - Sb metallic alloys of different compositions. Chapter 3 discuss and review the experimental results.
