Abstract The present study mainly devoted to the critical analysis of the avaliable well logs for seven wells drilled essentially for hydrocarbon exploration in the northern part of the Gulf of Suez, Egypt. This area is located between latitudes 28 20” & 28 40” N and longitudes 33 00” & 33 20” E. A number of isopach and structure contour maps with three - dimensional representations as well as structural and stratigraphical cross sections are constructed illustrating the geological and structural setting of the study area, with special emphasis on particular stratigraphic Miocene formations (Kareem and Belayim Formations). |
