Abstract Although, G. arboreum has a very high genetic importance, as well as many other economic uses, yet it is highly endangered in Egypt. The full understanding of the eco-physiology of this species will help no doubt to restore this important species back into the Egyptian habitats in its large-scale cultivation in the newly reclaimed areas. The objective of the present work was to study the efficiency of G. arboreum plants to establish in two different soil types (clay & sand), as well as to study the possible effects of watr stress as induced by salinity. |
