Abstract The present study was carried out in a greenhouse at the faculty of science Damietta, during 1990 / 1991 on one wheat cultivar (sakha 69). Wheat grains were presoaked in GA3 (50 ppm). IAA (5 ppm) or ABA (1 ppm). The plants were irrigated with two sea water levels (10%or 25%), to study the response of these plants to the previous treatments under saline water irrigation. Also to study the role of the provided phytohormones in improving salinity tolerance for wheat plants. The obtained results showed that sea water-irrigation (10% or 25%) significantly reduced all the growth parameters of wheat plants at 5th leaf, heading and anthesis stages. |
