Abstract Acne vulgaris is one of the most common dermatoses worldwide, characterized by comedones, inflammatory lesions (like papules, pustules, nodules or cysts), and scarring due to severe inflammatory response. Its pathogenesis can be primarily classified as: hyperactive sebaceous glands, sebaceous follicle obstruction, follicular hyper keratinization, and propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) colonization. |
