Abstract Ischemic heart disease is considered the most common cause of death , with multiple complications post MI that have short and long term implication on the patients quality of life . Left ventricular myocardial dysfunction is one of the most common complications post myocardial infraction, it can be transient or persistent depending on the duration of ischemic insult and successfulness of reperfusion strategy. Primary PCI is the preferred reperfusion strategy in patients with STEMI within 12 h of symptom onset by an experienced team Lower mortality rates among patients undergoing primary PCI are observed in centers with a high volume of PCI procedures .
