Abstract This study was designed to compare the accuracy of cast obtained from the un-splinted open tray implant impression technique to that obtained from digital impressions with different implant angulations. Two mandibular completely edentulous epoxy resin models (A, and B) representing a clinical situation- will be used as definitive models, model (A) with four implant analogues arranged to be parallel to each other, and perpendicular to the plane of the model, 2 analogues at the canine region and 2 at the first molar region, model (B) with 4 implant analogues with different angulation; 2 analogues at the canine region with 15º angles, and 2 at the fir molar region with 30º angles, and impressions for the models was performed using two techniques 15 times for each model: 1) un-splinted direct impression technique, 2) digital impression using an extra-oral scanner. Then measuring of casts obtained from digital and conventional by coordinate measuring machine and geomagic software |
