المستخلص The study aimed to identify the requirements for achieving administrative excellence for university leaders in Egypt in light of some modern administrative approaches. To achieve the objectives of the study, the study used the descriptive approach, and the study tool applied the questionnaire to a sample of university leaders, numbering (301) leaders including deans, deputies and heads of departments in university colleges. Assiut, Suhag, and South Valley in Qena. The study reached several results, the most important of which is: that the level of university leadership’s practice of administrative excellence was weak, and this was represented by weak effective leadership, weak human resources, weak administrative processes, weak reliance on technology, and weak organizational structure, as the results also showed. The rise in obstacles to achieving administrative excellence for university leaders in light of some modern administrative approaches. These obstacles were administrative and organizational obstacles, financial obstacles, human obstacles, technical obstacles, and societal obstacles. In light of these results, a proposed vision was developed that included the concept, objectives, importance, and starting points of the vision, its issues, axes, and requirements for its implementation.
