Introduction to the study
The secondary stage is one of the most important stages of human life, especially in the field of personality formation and human building, where it is considered a turning point, essential and important because it controls the fate of the nation and its future, and it leads a balanced social role between the student in terms of his abilities, tendencies and needs and the surrounding challenges, pressures and social requirements. it aims to prepare the secondary student for the university stage and integration in the practical, educational life, and the transition of the student during it from adolescence to adulthood, and from here are revealed their tendencies and guide them to the right direction, the process of learning is one of the first experiences that man has experienced since the beginning of the Caliph, and became a means later to obtain knowledge, form trends, and acquire skills. and the ability to change himself and in his community, which contributes to improving the level of production in individuals and therefore the role of the teacher to provide assistance to the student when he needs and stop when he grows his own abilities.
Problem of study:
The study problem is identified in the main question: Is it possible to arrive at a structural model that explains the causal relationships between achievement motivation, psychological resilience, academic Buoyancy, and the quality of academic life among secondary school students, the study sample?
Objectives of the study:
The current study aims to:
1- Find the form of direct and indirect relations between the variables of the current study when a sample of high school students, and then reach the best structural model that explains the relations between the variables of study in high school students.
The Study requirements:
The current study included ten main assumptions:
(1)The quality of academic life can be predicted in light of achievement motivation, psychological resilience, and academic progress among secondary school students, the study sample.
(2) It is possible to arrive at a structural model that explains the causal relationships between achievement motivation, psychological resilience, academic Buoyancy, and the quality of academic life among secondary school students, the study sample.
Sample of study:
The sample of the basic study consisted of (268) students in the schools of the city of Rahmaniyah, and the city of Damanhour in the governorate of Al-Bahira in the first semester of the academic year (2022 - 2023), including (126) males and (142) females, from an initial sample of (280) students as a result of the exclusion of (12) students for their incomplete responses to the vocabulary of study tools, the average age was (16.43) years with a standard deviation (0.95), and the table (2) shows the distribution of the sample by study teams.
Tools of study:
Achieving the objectives of the study requires the use of the following tools and metrics:
1- Achievement motivation scale (Regina M.Shea, 2010)
Translation by Abdul Rasul Abdul Baqi Abdul Latif, Tarek Nour al-Din Muhammad Abdul Rahim (2019).
2- Acollaborative Project from UK UnEverites) and Research Student, 2022.
3- The Academic Buoyancy Index (Mahmoud Fathi Okasha, Amal Abdel Mohsen Zogbi, 2019).
4- The Quality of Academic Life Index (Mahmoud Fathi Okasha, Amal Abdel Mohsen Zogbi, 2020).
Variables of study:
The current study is classified among descriptive studies: The analytical descriptive approach using structural equation modeling was used to determine relationships (direct and indirect). between the underlying variables and sets the amount of variation and unexplained in the dependent variables, then describe the subject of the study a precise and structured description combined with the analysis, interpretation and reasoning of the theoretical data in order to reach scientific results that can be used.
Variables of study:
Extrinsic variables are independent variables that affect others and are not affected by internal variables in models and are represented in the current study in the achievement motive (independent variable).
Internal variables Endogenous variables are the variables affected by others within the model and are represented in the dependent and intermediate variables are also represented in the current study psychological resilience and academic Buoyancy (intermediate variable), and the quality of academic life (dependent variable).
Study procedures:
1- Review related theories and supported research studies to describe the model.
2- Identify the model as a graph or equations.
3- Set the model.
4- Choose measurements to represent variables in the model.
5- Selection of the sample.
6- Application of tools.
7- Collection of data.
8- Analyze the results and validate the assumptions using the following statistical methods:
أ‌- Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
ب‌- Regression analysis.
ت‌- Track analysis using the Amos program.
9- Re-select the corresponding model if it has significance.
10- Interpret and discuss the results.
Results of study:
1- There is a statistically significant positive effect at the level (0.01) of academic Buoyancy on the quality of academic life.
2- There is a statistically significant positive effect at the level (0.01) of psychological resilience on the quality of academic life.
3- There is a positive, statistically significant effect at the level of (0.05) for achievement motivation on the quality of academic life. There is a direct positive effect of (0.151) and statistically significant at the level of (0.05) for achievement motivation on the quality of academic life among secondary school students in the study sample.
4- There is a direct positive effect of (0.326) and statistically significant at the level of (0.01) for psychological resilience on the quality of academic life among secondary school students in the study sample.
5- There is a direct positive effect of (0.441) and statistically significant at the level of (0.01) for academic Buoyancy on the quality of academic life among secondary school students in the study sample.
6- The Path Analysis method was used using the Amos program as a statistical method used to establish the probability of causal relationships between variables, as it is based on an explanatory model of the relationships between different variables based on research and theories related to a particular phenomenon.
