Abstract Adding PRP to the FUE hair transplantation method is a great armamentarium to this practice. It is not a substitute to surgery candidate patient, but it is adjunct to the surgery, as it can be used preoperatively for preparing the recipient site, intraoperatively as graft holding solution, postoperatively for both the donor site to accelerate its healing and the recipient site to make the transplanted hair enter the anagen phase early, allowing early regrowth, better survival and eventually better density achieved with superior patient satisfaction. PRP can be prepared in different methods, classically the two steps method is the most commonly used as it provides theoretically the highest platelet yield in the concentrate. Patient selection and education in hair transplantation is crucial for success and increasing the patient awareness and satisfaction with the achieved result. Hairline design represents pivotal step in planning and performance of the surgery, great attention should be directed to this step, based on it, the natural result will be evaluated. |
