Abstract Is a measure of the patient’s ability to perform typical day-to-day physical, psychological and social tasks and such as well-being vitality, and mental health. The present study aimed to assess the functional health status for the patients undergoing CABG in preoperative, postoperative, and follow-up. A descriptive research design was utilized to conduct this study. This study was carried out in the cardiothoracic department at Assuit University Heart Hospital. The study sample was 100 adult patients male and female, their ages ranging from 30 - 65 years undergoing CABG and agreeing to participate in the study. Tools of the study: To collect relevant data for this study, two tools were used. Tool (I): Patient assessment sheet: This tool was developed by the researcher based on the national and international literature to assess socio-demographic and medical data for patients. It consisted of two parts: Part 1: Patient personal data: This part included demographic data of studied patients such as age, gender, marital status, level of education, occupation, and living situation. |
